Expert: Ian Callison - 10/22/2009

Question
Hi Ian,
Someone made me a C&W mix tape dated 1992. They wrote that the name of one of the songs is "Long, Long Time". I have done all sorts of research and can not figure out what song this is. Unfortunately all I have is the tape cover and not the actual mix tape. I thought only an "expert" could figure out this delima. help! Thank you,
Elizabeth

Answer
Elizabeth:

The only song I know with that title (or close to it, anyway) is George Strait's "Leavin's Been Comin' (For A Long, Long Time)".  It was on his 1989 album "Beyond the Blue Neon".  The song was also previously recorded by John Schneider (Dukes of Hazzard) in 1986 and Larry Boone (co writer of the song) in 1988.  Hope this information helps you out, have a great day! IAN
