Question
There's a song that I used to hear on the radio as a kid. It mentioned Cane and Able... "One eye looks to heaven and the other looks to hell." If any ideas on what song this is I would really appreciate a hint.  Thanks

Answer
Hi Justin!  The song you're looking for is "Cain's Blood," by 4Runner.  I've included the lyrics below.  Hope this helps!
--Beth

Artist: 4 Runner
Song: Cain's Blood

(Chorus)
Half of my blood is Cain's blood
Half of my blood is Abel's
One eye looks to Heaven
One eye looks for trouble

Sweet mother, she sang in the Sunday choir
On her head was a halo, she spoke brimstone and fire
Daddy lived by the bottle, Daddy died by the barn
Well, he froze one night, Mama said "Serves him right"
"The devil can keep him warm"

(Repeat chorus)

Guess I always saw myself as a simple man
But there's a man in the mirror I don't understand
Every day I fight it, but I know down deep
It's the secrets I've been keeping
Rising from their sleep

(Repeat chorus)

There's an angel and a devil playing tug of war with my soul
The battle rages on each and every day
It's all I can do just to try to maintain control
My one and only hope is get on my knees and pray

(Repeat chorus)

Half of my blood is Cain's blood
Half of my blood is Abel's
Half of my blood
Half of my blood
Half of my blood
Half of my blood

Expertise

I can answer just about any question about lyrics or the artists who recorded the songs--80s and 90s country especially. I don't watch many new videos, but the older the video question, the more likely I am to be able to answer it.

Experience

I've been a country music fan for all of my 20+ years! I somehow have a knack for being able to remember all the words to all the songs (and who sang them for the most part) even though I can't carry a tune to save my life!

Education/Credentials
Juris Doctor. (So if I can't remember an answer off the top of my head, I have the research skills to figure it out!)
