I'm trying to think of a song title. Part of the chorus goes something like 'I don't know why___i___i___i you had to say goodbye____i____i___i'
I think it might be a Trisha Yearwood song, or someone that sounds similar.

The lyrics say "Won't you tell me why-yi-yi-yi-ya, I can't say goodbye-yi-yi-yi-ya..." so it's the song that first came to mind when I read your question.
