Country Music/Country Music Lyrics

Question
I think the name of the old country song is "Take Me Back to the Good Old Days".  I don't know who recorded it, but it was around in the 50's and early 60's.  The first stanza is: "I dreamed that I was living in 2022....(and then the chorus): "Take me back to the good old days, I love the old fashioned ways, They're gone too far with science craze, Take me back to the good old days..."  If you can supply all the lyrics, I would be most grateful.  Hopefully, you have heard of this song.

Answer
Hello John,

Yes, that song was called "Take Me Back To The Good Old Days" and it was recorded by Tommy Collins.

I'm afraid I don't have the lyrics in my collection and they do not appear to be available anywhere on the Net. However, the song is available on the CD, "The Best of Tommy Collins". Have a look at the following link.......

Expertise

I have been hooked on Country music since first hearing Jim Reeves in the late 50s. Two of the greatest nights of my life were seeing The Mavericks and Reba McEntire live in London. I am more at home with traditional Country music, but am happy to try and help with any questions relating to songs up to 2000. Please note that I DO NOT have the same knowledge about country music videos or singers private lives.
