Hello!
I have been trying for years to find out the name of a country song that I heard back about '91. The song must have come out in the late 80's or early 90's. Please help me figure this out. Here are a few of the lyrics I can remember:
"There's a little old dog thinks he's standin guard in the yard...Can't see nothin on the TV screen, 'cause mama's always runnin that sewing machine and sister's always yakin on the telephone, Oh Baby it's home sweet home!"
A man is singing the song and it has a real catchy tune. I hope you can help me.

Hi Lee! I think the song you're looking for is Dennis Robbins' "Home Sweet Home." It's pretty much the only song of his that he released himself. (He was a songwriter in the early nineties and wrote Garth Brooks' "Two of a Kind" and Shenandoah's "Church on Cumberland Road.")

I typed in the partial lyrics on "lyric sites" and did not get anything. Then I stumbled onto this website and Beth...through this website Beth was able to answer my question in less than 24 hrs. I've been a country music fan for all of my 20+ years! I somehow have a knack for being able to remember all the words to all the songs (and who sang them for the most part) even though I can't carry a tune to save my life!
