I'm trying to find a song, don't know who sang it, but the title i think is.... I hope you hear sad songs..

Yes, you're correct, that was a 1972 song titled "I Hope You Hear Sad Songs". I know of two different recordings, one by Chuck Howard, the other by Donnie Bowser.
