Country Music/what song are these lyrics to?

QuestionGreetings Mel.
Do you know what song these lyrics are from? "[It's the] last call for alcohol, [and it's the] last call for love"? Guessing on the words in square brackets. Someone in the neighborhood was playing it in the distance. It's the only part of the song I think I heard correctly. I don't know if it was radio or cd. It sounded more modern. I don't think it was a female singer, but instead a bunch of guys singing. I googled for it. The closest I got was a Ronnie Rogers song sung by Tanya Tucker "It's a Cowboy Lovin' Night". I could have misheard the lyrics but that wasn't Tanya. The rhythm was the close though. Thanks for any help you can provide.
AnswerHello Mike,
I don't think it's the one you're looking for, but there was a song back in 1965, written by Don Rollins and recorded by Charlie Walker, called "Last Call For Alcohol". Here are the lyrics........
There's no blonde at the bar making eyes at me
So I don't suppose that I'd be cheerful company
Anyhow it's too late to even hope tonight
They just switched off the jukebox and turned on the lights
And it's last call for alcohol, oh, that's the worst of all
When the drinks are gone, the table's cleared and they tell me to go home
To a house where lives the pieces of my broken heart
Last call for alcohol and time for tears to start
(Instrumental Break)
'Cause there once was somebody in this life of mine
One to take her place I don't expect to find
But it might be a long long time before
She's back and the lights go on in my life once more
And it's last call for alcohol, oh, that's the worst of all
When the drinks are gone, the table's cleared and they tell me to go home
Waitress, tell 'em fix one more and pour it tall
I'll drink it fast, I know that it's last call for alcohol
Cheers.........Mel.
