Back in the 80's & 90's I watched CMT on the cable channel in the UK.  There was a video about a father whose daughter lived with the mother but came to visit him on a weekend.  When she arrived he gave her a stuffed toy horse, and they have a good time, but then when she got picked up to leave, she dropped the stuffed horse on the ground.  Who sang this, and what was the song?  Please help??!

Hi Laura!  When I read your question, the first song and video that came to mind was Doug Supernaw's "I Don't Call Him Daddy."  The song is about a little boy instead of a little girl, but it otherwise matches your description.  Here's a link to the video so you can watch it and see if it's the song you're looking for.  Hope this helps!

I can answer just about any question about lyrics or the artists who recorded the songs--80s and 90s country especially. I don't watch many new videos, but the older the video question, the more likely I am to be able to answer it.

I've been a country music fan for all of my 20+ years! I somehow have a knack for being able to remember all the words to all the songs (and who sang them for the most part) even though I can't carry a tune to save my life!
