Country Music/Looking for a song..

Question
Ok, so, I've been listening to the local country radio station lately, and everytime a certain song comes on, it reminds me of a song I had heard back in the... Late 90's, I think. Maybe mid-90's.

I can't remember the artist, or any of the specific lyrics, so I don't expect this to be easy.

All I remember about the song is that somewhere near the beginning, it had talked about the strength the singers father had - He could loosen bolts with one turn of the wrench, open jars like they were nothing.

I swear the song mentioned something but "But I've never seen Daddy cry", but I'm not sure on that part.

I've been trying to find this song for my dad, to play it for him.. Help me out?

Answer
Hi Kyle!  I'm not 100% sure, but the song that came to mind when reading your question was "The Impossible" by Joe Nichols.  I've included a link to the video and the lyrics so you can see if that's the song you're looking for.  Hope this helps!

Artist: Joe Nichols
Song: The Impossible
Album: Man With A Memory

My dad chased monsters from the dark
He checked underneath my bed
He could lift me with one arm
Way up over top his head
He could loosen rusty bolts
With a quick turn of his wrench
He pulled splinters from his hand
Never even flinched
In thirteen years I'd never seen him cry
But the day that grandpa died,I realized

Unsinkable ships, sink
Unbreakable walls, break
Sometimes the things you think would never happen
Happen just like that
Unbendable steel, bends
If the fury of the wind is unstoppable
I've learned to never underestimate
The impossible

And then there was my junior year
Billy had a brand new car
It was late, the road was wet
I guess the curve was just too sharp
I walked away without a scratch
They brought the helicopter in
And Billy couldn't feel his legs
Said he'd never walk again
But Billy said he would and his mom and daddy prayed
And the day we graduated,he stood up to say:

Unsinkable ships, sink
Unbreakable walls, break
Sometimes the things you think would never happen
Happen just like that
Unbendable steel, bends
If the fury of the wind is unstoppable
I've learned to never underestimate
The impossible

So don't tell me that it's over
Don't give up on you and me
'Cause there's no such thing as hopeless
If you believe:

Unsinkable ships, sink
Unbreakable walls, break
Sometimes the things you think would never happen
Happen just like that
Unbendable steel, bends
If the fury of the wind is unstoppable
I've learned to never underestimate
The impossible

Expertise

I can answer just about any question about lyrics or the artists who recorded the songs--80s and 90s country especially. I don't watch many new videos, but the older the video question, the more likely I am to be able to answer it.

Experience

I've been a country music fan for all of my 20+ years! I somehow have a knack for being able to remember all the words to all the songs (and who sang them for the most part) even though I can't carry a tune to save my life!

Education/Credentials
Juris Doctor. (So if I can't remember an answer off the top of my head, I have the research skills to figure it out!)
