Please try to make it the older stuff, I don't listen to much "modern" country except George Strait anymore....it ain't got no soul anymore :)
Experience I grew up in the 60's listening to all the old greats and learned to play the music. I have spent a lot of time reading about the genres and have gotten a chance to meet several of the big names over the years.
Question do you know a country song which included the lyrics red satin dress and creeping up the back stairs. It was sung by a man. It was on a cassette tape of country music unfortunately this is all i know. Can you please help me.
Answer Could you possibly be thinking of "Pour Me Another Tequila, Shelia" by Bobby Bare....Red Satin dress is repeated many times ....a gambler goes across the border with his ill gotten gains running from dealers...Shelia has on a red satin dress and he keeps telling her to take it off and pour him another drink...last verse he hears the posse outside and the only one who knew where he was is Shelia so he puts on her red satin dress and sneaks out the back and heads for the border again while she has to put on his clothes and go out and face them
