Question
I need the Singer, and Song title to the older country song.... I think its called either "women are gonna be the death of me", or maybe "what a way to go"... about the guy thats had scores of trouble with women all over the US.

Answer
Hello Randy,

That's Ray Kennedy's "What A Way To Go" from 1990.

I met him in Seattle, bellied up to a bottle
Tellng lies in the Blue Moon Bar
His face was hard and traveled and as the lines unraveled
I saw a man who could laugh about his scars

He said I got Shanghied in Vegas by a painted woman
I got hog-tied by a red-head in Ohio
I got derailed by a dancer down in Dallas
He said, women gonna be the death a me, but what a way to go

He said a girl named Nancy once tickled his fancy
And backed it up with a hundred dollar smile
He laughed about that Madam Rue, she was into Voodoo
A little weird but she always drove him wild

He said I got tongue-tied by a teacher in Talahassee
I got french-fried by a waitress in Idaho
I got way-layed by a widow in Wyoming
He said, women gonna be the death a me, but what a way to go

He said I got Shanghied in Vegas by a painted woman
I got hog-tied by a red-head in Ohio
I got derailed by a dancer down in Dallas
He said, women gonna be the death a me, but what a way to go

He said, women gonna be the death a me, but what a way to go

Glad to be of help. Cheers.........Mel.

Expertise

I have been hooked on Country music since first hearing Jim Reeves in the late 50s. Two of the greatest nights of my life were seeing The Mavericks and Reba McEntire live in London. I am more at home with traditional Country music, but am happy to try and help with any questions relating to songs up to 2000. Please note that I DO NOT have the same knowledge about country music videos or singers private lives.
