Question
I know the lyrics to this song-I always thought it was Hank williams Sr., but I can't seem to find it. It goes like this: Put a nipple, on my bottle, bartender, warm my whiskey, and be a babys' friend, for a baby can cry, and tonight when I get high, I'm gonna be a baby again....I just found another song I thought was by Hank Williams Sr., but it was listed under Hank Williams Jr.-that one is "Cajun Baby"-please help! Thank you!

Answer
Hello Cheryl,

That song, "Baby Again", and was written & recorded by Jim Ed Brown in 1969. It appeared on his album "Just For You".

But it was also recorded by Hank Williams Jr. in 1969, issued as a single and went to #16 on the Country charts.

Glad to be of help. Cheers.........Mel.

Expertise

I have been hooked on Country music since first hearing Jim Reeves in the late 50s. Two of the greatest nights of my life were seeing The Mavericks and Reba McEntire live in London. I am more at home with traditional Country music, but am happy to try and help with any questions relating to songs up to 2000. Please note that I DO NOT have the same knowledge about country music videos or singers private lives.
