Question
Hi.  In the song 'Fast As You';What does he say at the part where the tempo (or whatever you call it) changes? It sounds like 'Aw sucky' but I don't hardly think that's right. Also, is it a remake of a Roy Orbison song or just sound like it? Thanks a bunch. C.

Answer
Hello Christine,

Well, I've just had another listen to that song and he certainly says something there. To me it sounds like "Aw, Sukey". Sukey is an old form of the name Susan, but why Dwight should exclaim it there in the song is a mystery to me. He obviously had his reasons.

"Fast As You" was written by Dwight. So, there's no connection with Roy Orbison.

Glad to be of help.

Expertise

I have been hooked on Country music since first hearing Jim Reeves in the late 50s. Two of the greatest nights of my life were seeing The Mavericks and Reba McEntire live in London. I am more at home with traditional Country music, but am happy to try and help with any questions relating to songs up to 2000. Please note that I DO NOT have the same knowledge about country music videos or singers private lives.
