i'm trying to think of the name of the song that goes 'life is a highway all night long'.

The most recent version of the song "Life Is A Highway" was recorded by Rascal Flatts and appeared on Disney's "Cars" soundtrack last year.  The original artist of the song is Tom Cochrane who first sang it around the late 80's.  Then after that, Chris Ledoux recorded in the early-to-mid 90's and released it as a single.  Hope this helps, have a great day!
