Question
Hi, I don't know the name and artist of a song that goes "I'd make love to you in a New York minute and take my Texas time doin it... I'd do you every way but wrong"... What is the name of this song? Who sings it? Thank you

Answer
Hello Crys,

That song is "IN A NEW YORK MINUTE" by Ronnie McDowell, from 1985. Here are the lyrics:

Ever since I've known ya
You've belonged to someone else
So we've never talked about romance
But I think it's time I told you
The way I've always felt
And what I'd do if I got the chance

I'd make love to you in a New York minute
And take my Texas time doing it
I'd do you every way but wrong
I'd make love to you in a New York minute
And take my Texas time doing it
I'd prove to you that in my arms is where you belong

Don't misunderstand me
I wouldn't steal you from your man
But if he's ever fool enough to leave
Well you know how to reach me
And you know where I am
And you know what I'd do if you were free

I'd make love to you in a New York minute
And take my Texas time doing it
I'd do you every way but wrong
I'd make love to you in a New York minute
And take my Texas time doing it
I'd prove to you that in my arms is where you belong

Glad to be of help. Cheers.........Mel.

I have been hooked on Country music since first hearing Jim Reeves in the late 50s. Two of the greatest nights of my life were seeing The Mavericks and Reba McEntire live in London. I am more at home with traditional Country music, but am happy to try and help with any questions relating to songs up to 2000. Please note that I DO NOT have the same knowledge about country music videos or singers private lives.
