Question
I have decided to buy plan unity candles for my wedding and decorate them myself. I was wondering what glue is safe to use on candles. I want to add beading on my candle. How should I go about this?

Answer
Dear Karrie -

I suggest Sticky Wax.  It is an adhesive used for candles, holding miniatures, etc.  The link is below.  Use a toothpick to apply.  Sometimes the sticky wax needs a little warming so it is not stiff.  Apply the wax and then push the bead into it.

I am not sure the diameter of the unity candle, but just be aware to avoid flammables.  Use glass beads. Beads and rhinestones can be plastic, so be sure to get crystal rhinestones.  You can use rhinestones - either stick them in the wax or get pronged rhinestone bezels.  You also can get metal studs that have prongs.  Look in the fabric painting area of your craft store.

Rhinestones, placed sparingly around the candle, would be stunning -reflecting the light of the flame.

I hope this helps!  Nanetta
