Crafts/Gluing to candles

Question
I would like to glue sequins or something like that to our white pillar candles.  It's our 25th wedding anniversary and since silver candles are not available right now, I thought I would glue something silvery on the candles.  Is there some kind of glue I could purchase for this?  Would there be anything available at Michael's?

Answer
Dear Delia - I suggest you use Sticky Wax.  It comes in a little tin.  It is used to keep candles upright as well as keeping miniatures from moving on shelves or in a dollhouse.  Use the tiniest bit.  If you are gluing on sequins, a toothpick should work to apply the wax.  On the opposite end (or use another toothpick), apply just enough wax to cover the tip of the toothpick.  Then touch it to a soft cloth to lessen the stickiness.  Use this one to pick up and apply the sequins.  You should be able to put them on without any wax residue.
By the way, I ran across a site for sequins that is out of this world!  They have an incredible selection, great prices and an unusual selection.  Check them out!
