Hello Annetta, i am looking at the project on the Sculpey website, under Jewelery, called Chunky Channels bracelet, if you go to the website it's under Projects, (not in the big list of Jewelery, but on the project page there are 8 featured projects, in step #8 of this project it says to lay the one long rectangle on top of the other then cut the edges, i would guess that you cant press it together too much as you have make channels on the one with the wooden skewers. or i guess you can just press along the edges away from the channels. thanks any help will be appreciated, (i am not planning on doing the pattern transferr on this project, just using this as basic idea)
-----Question-----
Hello, i just talked with you yesterday, i have another question, if it says to just layer on top of each other, if i just press it together lightly is that enough to keep it together after it is baked ?? i dont what to squash it to much to distorte the shape. thanks much !
June

Dear June - I am not sure what you are refering to. Are you following a project? It would be helpful if you could give me a bit more information and I am sure I can help you. Thanks!

Answer Dear June - Thanks for the direction. You want to lightly press or roll the top layer so that it adheres, but not so much that it fills in the channels. Raw clay will stick to itself easily - you just need to make sure it makes contact. If the channels become obstructed, use the skewer to clear them once you cut the pieces as directed in a later step. This may take some practice. Since you are just begining, you may want to make a tile to string as a pendant to get the feel of the project. That way you can be free to experiment, without worrying about fitting the pieces together. Or try this project that uses only one tile:
