Question
Hi!
My 11 year old daughter is enthralled with polymer clay! She has developed some of her own project ideas with  photos, etc., but is becomming discouraged.

I can't seem to get it fired right... it is ALWAYS brittle and breaks- no matter the thickness or length of time fired.  I need help:-)

Maybe I am "cooking" it TOO long?  Or?  We have tried conditioning the heck out of it, but maybe not enough?  Her art is all ruined:-(
HELP!!!
Thanks bunches!
PS- The clay we are using is FIMO Soft, and Sculpy

Answer
Dear Tammy - I hope some of the suggestions are a help for you and your daughter.
It occured to me that you can buy my book directly from me at the link below.  If you decide to purchase it, let me know and I will autograph it for your daughter.  Although it is based on jewelry, it has a lot of good info and techniques.

Thanks for the kind words.  Again, good luck and don't hesitate to ask again.  I am happy to help.
