Credit Repair/Credit repair
Expert: David McArthur - 4/18/2009
QuestionQUESTION: I have a 49 y.o. daughter with numerous medical problems & is now on Soc. Sec. disability.
She has a very poor credit score form the past of which she has not been able to contribute to to clear up.
I believe the total amount of delinquent accts. are approx. $4,000.or under.
Her problem is that she struggles to pay her rent of approx. $900. per month & has nothing left for bills, etc. therefore never able to catch up.
She has been trying to get into a subsidized rental but has been unsuccessful due to her poor credit history.
If she can somehow accomplish this it would be the only way that she could stabilize herself & her financial responsibilities.
Would appreciate any advice as to how & where to begin to resolve this most stressful dilemma.
Thank you.
ANSWER: Ang,
First, she needs to get some help at www.financialscoringsolutions.com
There are several things she can do but she'll have to figure out how much she has to work with.

QUESTION: Hi David,
I appreciate your reply but unfortunately there is just no possible way that she can afford to pay for help.
I was referred to allexperts & I was expecting to receive some free basic advice as to how & where to begin on "how to repair "on her own to avoid all costs as she is honestly, poorer than poor.
Thankyou for your time...ang
AnswerAng,
There are 2 parts to repairing your credit. First is having harmful information that can possible be removed disputed. She can do this part on her own by contacting the 3 credit bureau's. This is the easiest way for her to do it herself. It is not the most effective way, but the only free way.
Second, she needs to add positive trade lines. There a some great ways to go about this but they almost all require a deposit per line from $200-2000. The only free way to create a trade line is to have her added as an authorized user on someone else credit card.
Credit repair can happen without spending much on it. It just takes much longer.
