I have two unpaid hospital bills one is almost $18,000 and it's been in collections for about 7 years,i can't afford to pay it off!
What can i do will the hospital write if off or reduce it after all this time?

Answer
Before you negotiate a payoff research what the statute of limitations on collection in your state.  You may be close to passing it.

Otherwise, yes they will likely settle for a substantial discount for payoff or arrange a monthly payment.
