Question
I have been divorced for over 3 years, and I just want to start over fresh, financially. If I file for chapter 7, will the creditors in return go after my ex.? This is not something I want, because we still get along, but it is my only option now,Help...

Answer
Donald,

Creditors will go after your ex on any joint accounts.  This is the inherent risk on co-signing accounts.

If you do this I can't express strong enough that you quickly take steps to rebuild your credit.  A few simple steps will have you 700+ on your credit score within 2 years after BK.  Visit www.financialscoringsolutions.com to learn more.  Feel free to call me if you need help.  Recovery after BK is my specialty.
