Question
I saw an attorney today about chapter 13 and will be paying him the filing fee tomorrow.  He said it should get filed in 2 weeks.  In the mean time I have a house payment due, and also a leased vehicle and a purchaced vehicle all which we will be keeping.  Can I stop making any of these payments untill it goes to court?

Answer
Terry, If you were filing chapter 7 I would say yes, but you should call the attorney and ask since this is a 13.  For the fee he is charging you don't hesitate to ask any and all questions that come to mind.
