Creditors and Bankruptcy/bankruptcy and low score

Question
Approx. 3.5 years ago I filed for chapter 13. I completed payments and I currently have a credit keeper account through a credit card co. Each month I get a notice saying one company continues to report delinquent. They were paid in the bankruptcy, although I don't know how much. Is there a way I can get them to stop reporting this each month? Every attempt at rebuilding is torn down by their report. Or do I have to keep getting these bad marks for the next 7 years? I'm a credit report idiot, so if you can help, or direct me to a web site that can help, I would appreciate it. But I warn you :) it needs to be specific with instructions on what to do!! I'm clueless!

Answer
Hi Heather.  You should start by obtaining your free credit reports.  You can do this @ www.annualcreditreport.com

I will admit that their site is a bit confusing.  I can e-mail you a paper request form that is simple to fill out.

If you looking to quickly rebuild your credit the next step is to have negative items removed from the report.  Feel free to call me if you have questions about how to do that.  Start by visiting my site @ www.financialscoringsolutions.com
