Creditors and Bankruptcy/lawsuit/court judgement
Expert: David - 5/21/2009
QuestionIf i file bankruptcy, will the judgement be taken off of my
credit reports? This is a joint judgement and the other
person said they would pay it and didnt. Im trying to
figure out whether or not i should file bankrupt. my credit
is horrible and i need to get it back right. Also im in the
check system and cant get a checking account but i have no
idea what bank i owe, how do i find that out. And if i file
bankrupt, will that be cleared as well?
AnswerDepends on what the judgement is from. Taxes, student loans, child support, and municipal obligations do not come off.
Bankruptcy is for fixing cash flow problems. If you can't afford to pay your debt then you should consider it.
You can make a full credit recover in 1-2 years with the proper steps. It starts by signing up for help at www.financialscoringsolutions.com
You can obtain a copy of your chex systems report by purchase or free if you have been denied an account recently.
Bankruptcy does not delete your chex systems report.
