Answer
Hi Chantel:

This is a difficult question to answer because it is so broad and really depends on some of the details of your case.  Are they accurate?  Have they been addressed before?  If so, how? Are you being sued?  Is it within the statute of limitations?  etc.

Without knowing exactly what efforts you have made previously, perhaps professional credit repair is the best option for you.  This often produces the best results including deletion of derogatory information like this.

Please go to WWW.FICOFIGHTER.COM, review the information, and see if that fits what you are looking for.  Rates a low as $19/month with full guarantee.

There are other possible options including attempting the repair yourself.  However, be advised one big drawback is the potential for negative ramifications of your actions.  For example, if you incorrectly (or poorly) complete credit repair yourself, it limits and even eliminates options for you in the future.  This potentially locks you in to the negative information for up to 7 years.

If you want to go that route yourself, I would prefer to know a little more information as described above.  However, the basic route is to initially dispute any inaccurate information directly to credit bureaus.  Other options include offering payment on the account in exchange for deletion from the credit bureaus.  Again, I can't stress enough the dangers of doing this if you don't know EXACTLY what you are doing.  Poor credit repair can even lead to jump-starting lawsuits against you.

Please contact me again if there are any specifics you can give me that would shed more light on the situation.  Otherwise, review www.ficofighter.com as, to me, that seems like the best option for you depending on those circumstances described above.

Good luck,
Regan

I can answer questions on collections, repossessions, bankruptcy, credit repair, credit counseling, FICO scores, credit planning, and the cause and effect of credit related decisions. I can also answer questions on collection settlements and preparing to sue your creditors for false debts and credit reporting.

Experience

Fifteen years ago I was financially devasted due to severe health issues. I filed bankruptcy, had a foreclosure, car repossession, tax lien, and ruined credit. I immersed myself in credit law. I settled dozens of accounts and had them removed to improve my credit. I personally sued four creditors and collection agencies and won cash settlements for their false reporting on my credit reports. Since then, I have completely recovered and have nearly $100,000 in revolving credit lines and perfect credit. I have owned a credit repair company for the past five years and have an additional three years of specific work in the collections and debt management industry. I am fully versed in the Fair Debt Collection Practices Acts (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and have used them successfully in collection settlements and lawsuits for myself and others. I am also familiar with and abide by the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA). I have deleted or helped delete literally hundreds and hundreds of derogatory items from consumers' credit reports and helped negotiate many settlements with collection agencies and creditors. I have also advised people on bankruptcy at any stage. In the current credit market, I have successfully advised numerous people on how to obtain credit and how to negotiate for better terms.
