QUESTION: Hi,
Is there any particular reason the umpire should know who the keeper is ?
Also, can the straight umpire over-rule a decision made by the leg-umpire, in case of (above the shoulder/waist) no-ball and wide (over the head)
Thanks,
Vijeth
Answerhai vijeth
well i have already told u why the umpire should be told as he has to see that the one who is keeping the stumps is in playing 11.
yes the stright umpire can overrule the decision as the squareleg umpire has no say in the
no-ball and wideball in case of shoulder height its responsibilty of the umpire at bowlers end
please refer to law book where it is clearly says the umpire at bowlersend has to signal noball
