Question
Hello
I am a former law enf officer in jersey ( for 8 years )
I have read and heard from a few sources that An American has a god given right secured by the Constitution  to use the roadways of This country without any type of permission?- That motor vehicles only true power is over commerce -Thus is A person is on the roadways for private personal travel they do not need a permit or license, have to register thier property with the government and would not fall under the jurisdiction of motor vehicle / traffic law if they have their affairs in proper order.
What is your incite on this issue ?
If you could refer me to someone who has incite that would be appreciated ,. Thanks , Tom

Answer
I have never heard of such a right. First of all when the constitution was written there were no such things as motor vehicles and there is nothing in the constitution that supports your theory. In florida and all states the laws require you to have your motor vehicle registered with the state which you live and on your driver's license, at least in FL it specifically states driving is a privilege not a right.
