Question what happens if i gave someone a stolen check and they gave me the amount it was for out of there pocket and the deposited it in there bank account but it got declined can that person press charges against me?

First of all I want you to know that I am not giving yu legal advice. This is only my opinion.
If you gave someone a check and they gave you cash for the check, then they are the ones who deposited the money.
The burdeon of proof is upon the bank to prove that YOU GAVE HER THE CHECK and that she got the money.
So the issue is now on her to determine if she is the one depositing a check that SHE stole, this has nothing to do with you, as how in the hell can anyone prove that the check came from you.
Bottom Line. Do not say anything!
