i would like to know my niece met a man online  who is on probation for check forgery from another state and he came over to this state and picked her up and brought her to his state to live with him is it illegal for him to cross a state line if hes on probation to come here to get her

I know this is very worrisome to you.  Normally, a probationer or parolee needs to get permission from his parole or probation officer before they can leave the state. My question is how do you know this 'gentleman" is on probation for check forgery ?  Most of these guys when they are on-line don't normally tell the truth about much.  I would make a phone call to the probation officer and check.
