Question
Hi, I have a misdemeanor put on my record last year, and was given 18 months probation for a 3 dollar larceny. (long story)....I do not have a record at all, and I am wanting to go int real estate, they check your record. In NC, can this be expunged, if so, is there a certain way to go about this? Also, I am assuming, it cant be expunged at all, until after probation time is up. Thanks for your help.. Natalie

Answer
Natalie,

North Carolina seems pretty straight forward. I attached a link for you with the information you will need. I didn't see anything regarding a time frame so you may have to research that your self.  You are right you do have to get off probation first.
