Answer
Sherry,

I am sorry but i really can't tell you how to plead.  That is a decision for you to make maybe after consulting with a competent attorney.  Let me give you some information though.  Possession of small quantities of marijuana is not a big deal.  A very common incident in the legal system.  Most if not all states have procedures for dealing with first time offenders, I would avail myself of these if possible.  I would recommend that you contact a local attorney that has experience working in the criminal field.  Make an appointment and consult with him or her, it would be well worth the money.  The attorney could advise you of the laws in your state, policies of the prosecutor and courts.  There is no reason to make a rash decision just to make something go away.  That decision could last way longer they you anticipate.  This type of charge doesn't normally drag out, figure 90 days at the most unless there are some real issues that need to be dealt with.  Yes I realize it is stressful, probably embarrassing, etc.  It is not serious and people are willing to work with you on this.

Good luck
