Criminal Law/Unfair Probation Officer

Question
Hello,
The father of my child was arrested for assault and served six months in jail.  Upon getting released he was assigned a probation officer in Reveille Ca (where he served his time) and a probation officer.  He has been more than compliant with her and she seems to continue treating him outside of what would normalcy be perceived as "fair".  About two weeks ago he was having panic attacks and went to an Urgent cope facility.  There he was prescribed valum and soma to relieve his anxiety.  Now, the probation officer is using this as a means to send him to a treatment home for three months.  Is there anything we can do to prevent this?  I have a 6 month old daughter and depend on his income.

Answer
Lauren,

Sorry about the problems you are having.  If you can make no headway with the probation officer then the next avenue would be a review with their supervisor.  The meeting should be non emotional and based on fact.Obtain the necessary records and statements.  If may be more persuasive to have someone represent you that can be unemotional.  If meeting with the supervisor does not work your only other choice would be to get a hearing before a court.  For this you would need to consult with an attorney to determine if it is even practical under your states laws.
Good luck
