Question
Ok i got a 'sale of alcohol to minors' six months deferred judification and
probation. second to last meeting took a drug test and i know i failed. Ok i have
all my community service done and all my fines paid up.  my question is what is
the likelyhood i will go to jail?

Answer
Julius,

There is no way I or anyone else can answer this question.  The reason being is that there are different laws and procedures in each of the 50 states.  In each of the 50 states there are different rules and policies in each court and county. However in general, your original charge was very minor it was not related to drug or substance abuse on your part.  I have never heard of anyone going to jail for serving minors unless there was one heck of a prior history.  I would suspect something such as extended probation or a warning.  The deferred judgement could mean that if you complete probation satisfactorily then the charge would be dropped.  In this case it could be recorded.  I doubt it will get any worse then that. A failed drug test is not uncommon at all. Just so we are clear the final determination is up to the judge, what i told you above is my best guess, nothing more.

Good luck
