Criminal Law - Kidnapping ? & forced signatures

Question
Dear Sir
Thank u for your kindness to those who are lost in the legal world.
My ex husband and his attorney took  me to  the attorneys house under false pretenses and made me (under the threat of my life and blocking all exits) sign away all my marital earnings  of 26 yrs.
A hand-written document(unregistered in any court of law)esentially overturned our recorded divorce agreement.
What is the terminology for this crime? ( I am not sure it is kidnapping as I went to the house willingly but to discuss a house sale agreement)
In Florida, how long until the statutes run for me to bring this to court as a criminal matter and do I have to make a police report in the area where this crime took plece?

is this a felony?
Thanks again

Answer
Marilyn,

I apologize for my delay in respondng to your questions.  These are some pretty serious allegations. You need to contact the police in the jurisdiction this occured in immediatly.  You also need to contact a private attorney to deal with any civil filings being done on the authority of the document you signed.   It is not kidnapping but there could be another charge in your state such as false imprisonment.  I would suspect they are felonies also.

Please do not delay in reporting this

Good luck

robin
