Question
I received a dui in Leon County in 2000.  I recently received another DUI in Hillsborough county in January. There is now a warrant out for my arrest in Leon County for violation of probation by re4ceiving a second DUI almost ten years later.  Will this affect my second DUI when I go to court?  What would be the beswt way to take care of this?  THnak you

Answer
Dee,

Sorry about what happen.  That is some long time probation.  More serious than what happens in my jurisdiction.  Yes the first DUI will be included in your second to enhance the charge.  There are different legal interpretations either just a simple second offense or under the theory that you committed a crime while on probation.  It really doesn't make that big of a difference the penalty would be similar.  You need to consult with an attorney experienced in DUI cases.  First offense is bad enough but with two and one charging you with probation violation ( after 9 years).  This could result in some jail, heavy fines, long probation etc.  You also have insurance to deal with.

Sorry i could not be more help

Good luck
