Question
I was arrested for not providing my social security number to a rental cop. I asked why i needed it and he got aggravated and had a nearby cop arrest me. What are my rights here?

Answer
Jaime,

Under Federal Law you are not required to provide your social Security Number except for transactions with Social Security and some financial transaction.  With out seeing the police report i can't be more specific. But if it is for refusing to provide a SSN and that is considered disorderly.  I think you may have something to discuss with the court or the prosecutor

Good luck
