Question
I am leaving the country next month and thought I had an unpaid fine in my
previous state where I lived (Colorado) THey told me that I had a warrant for
failure to comply with court order and there is a no bond order on the
warrant. They told me that the only thing I can do is go back to colorado. I
have two questions. 1. is there any way to take care of this with a lawyer from
here in California. 2. will I be able to leave  and re-enter the country into
california without getting arrested? thanks in advance for your answer

Answer
Jeremiah,

You can contact an attorney in Colorado and see if they can take care of the matter.  The court should look at reality.  You are trying to pay the fine, they won't probably extradite you from California so would they rather have the money or wait for you to voluntarily return to Colorado ?  Hopefully the court is smart.  If the warrant is misdemeanor only then it will not affect your return to the US.  Only felonies

Hope this helped
