Question
What can happen to a person who harbors a minor who is 16, almost 17, and is on Juvenile Probation. The minor violated her probation, if she stays gone until she is 18 will the warrant go away?

Answer
Kelsi,

The charge is probably a misdemeanor.  The person can obviously be arrested and possibly jailed.  The sentence can range any where from probation and fines to jail.  It does not matter it the person turns 18 or not, what matters is when the offence occurs.  For example if a person has sex with a person that is under age. That is the crime, it makes no difference if a year latter the person comes of age.

Hope this helped
