Question
My car has been keyed i know who did it and i know how to catch them. the only thing i want to know is what laws are they breaking and what are the punishments? I live in Michigan and im having no luck finding it on the internet.

Answer
Brandon,

The charge is "Malicious destruction of property"  (MDOP)  it is value specific meaning the degree of charge is based on the value of the property damage or cost to restore.  One of the bits of information you will need is an estimate from a body shop. please do not delay in contacting law enforcement to file a report

good luck
