Question
If my father was stoped by the police.  The officer asked were he had stayed at. He told them he had stayed the night at my house my house. Does that give them the rite to go an search my house if I'm not there to verify that its not his residents. And if he did live with me does probation need to contact me an verify that he stays at my house an let me know that him being in my residents gives them the rite to search my house

Answer
Dave,

No it doesn't give them the right.  If a probationer moves into your house then you would have to agree prior to them moving in or the probation dept would not allow it.  However if you are not there and he gives permission then they can search.
The right is yours to waive.

Hope this helped
