Question
ok so my hubby went to jail for a crime that they cant prove he did and is waiting for a trial.. but he cant make bail because he was on probation... and now they have a hold on him.. what are the chances that the hold will be lifted?

Answer
Briggette,

Sorry about the problems your husband and you are having.  First i am not a bookie and don't post odds.  Probation violations are at the discretion of the probation dept.  They can violate for many things and can maintain holds for varying amounts of time.  Up and until a determination is made on his current case.  For example the hold can be kept on your husband until the current case is settled in court.  Once settled either by conviction or acquittal the probation can then move forward with the hold or can find another reason to retain him custody.  The proofs for a probation violation are not as stringent and for a criminal conviction.  However lets say that there is no other violation other then the instant case.  Once that is adjudicated normally the probation hold is lifted.  so odds are good.

Hope this helps
