Question
Can a probation officer call you and tell you taht you have to report that same day knowing that you have to work?

Answer
Gabriel,

First i need to apologize in the delay for responding, i have been out of office on assignment.

Yes they can,  normally the probation requirement are spelled out in the first meeting with the probation officer however if the probation officer obtains some information or has some other need you can be ordered to report.  Failure to do so can result in a probation violation.

Hope this helps and good luck
