Question Recently I obtained a transcript and other court documents on my criminal conviction. Can an appeal be filed on procedural and substantive due process violations for my California court conviction that occurred a decade ago?

I am by no means an expert on appeals law, so unfortunately I cannot answer this question. I know that constitutional violations need to be raised in a writ of habeas corpus, and unless you are under some sort of state control (probation, jail, etc) you cannot bring that writ.
