Do search warrents have a time limitation? Do they expire?

    Did you get the follow up answer to your question about the prosecutor not having any evidence?  It's very important that you read it.

     Search warrant law depends on the state.  I think every state is different.  In MY state the life of a search warrant was ten days the last time I checked but that could have easily changed.  But be careful on this because every state has different laws.

Worked in the patrol division as well as over 14 years in the detective bureau. Investigated a wide range of crime such as murder, rape, robbery, theft, fraud, missing persons, and other very sensitive crimes. I am very knowledgeable about search and seizure and taught at the police academy for several years on a variety of subjects. I can answer questions that a lot of attorneys cannot since they do not have "street experience".
