Question
What exactly does the term "forensic self" mean?

Answer
Hank,

It is an ill-defined and loose term conveying the historical insight and reconstruction of the origins of forensic science.  That would include pioneers and practitioners who, over time, created techniques which have evolved into specializations within the field.
