Can Plastic surgery of Thumb can change thumb Impressions?
In case yes,do you feel this can be a security flaw in crimes detection?

Dear Prashant,

Yes.  The class and individual characteristics of the friction ridges can be changed through plastic surgery to a greater or lesser degree.  The new changes could possibly trigger a new identity not known to previous fingerprint databases.  Because this is a difficult transformation process to successfully achieve very few cases have been recorded.
