As a Catholic I have never, ever heard that Mary was resurrected on the third day.  We do not worship or pray to Mary.  We honor Mary as the mother of our Savior, nothing more.

Kitalika,  While Elder Greg is not intentionally misleading you about the beliefs of the Catholic Church, his answer is not correct.  If you wish to learn the truth of these teachings please discuss with a leader of the Catholic Church.

*Mat 11:11  Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.*

*Luk 11:27  And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.

Luk 11:28  But he said, Nay! rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. *

*1Ti 5:21  I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.*

*Jas 3:17  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

It would appear, more emphasis is made of the person of Mary, that what Jesus said about the matter!

Sincerely In Christ

Mr B.

Actually, we do pray to Mary in the sense that we ask her to pray for us or to ask her to present our petitions to Jesus (as she did at the wedding feast at Cana). We also ask friends here on earth to pray for us. The old expression "prithee" as in "I prithee, take thy fingers from my throat (Hamlet Act V, Scene I)" means I pray thee. The "Hail Mary" is a prayer to Mary.
