Critics of Catholicism/Limited miracles

QuestionHello sir,
Introduction first....
I am a catholic, I believe in God, I do what I can to prove his existence.. I have often
argued about this topic on my friends and on the other people on the internet. But recently I saw this
Memo on the net about God and amputies. I am aware of Jesus' verse in the Bible about not to test God...
But scientifically speaking, I cannot give a reason why cancer victims and other diseases can be miracoulously healed
by God, but those who have no arms or legs cannot wake up in the morning and find there limbs replaced.
It pains me to not think of a resonable arguement about this matter, I know that God has a plan for them, and i know that they
will live better on the other side after this life, But can you give me a better, more specific explanation that even an atheist would agree on?
AnswerGreat question.
I believe only God really knows the true answer, but since God doesn't always speak to us directly, I will give my take on the question.
We are created as free beings. Free will is a great gift from God. We are totally responsible for our lives and cannot blame anyone else for any situation we find ourselves in, otherwise we would be denying free will. Those without arms or legs have chosen freely to be in those situations the reason known only to them in a very deep way. If they were healed by God,what lesson would they have learned from that? I have seen many amputees who are great souls due to the amazing lessons they have learned from their seeming difficult situation.
So, you see, this is my best answer, but I feel that the true answer is known only by God and the person who is living that experience. I am sure that in your life you have had some difficult trials and tribulations and I am also sure that you have had the opportunity to grow in wisdom and love by going through those seeming difficult experiences. I can tell you that this is how it has been for me in my life. Let's not blame God for seeming misery. He is pure love. Let's look deep within ourselves for the answer. Remember, Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is within. That's where to go for all the answers. That's where God is, right inside of you.
Blessing, Joseph
