Question
My sister in law recently became a JW. We are pentecostal and she was also. Now, How can a cult convince a believer that has experience the baptism of the holy spirit to completely denied?

Answer
Sorry to hear what happened with your sister-in-law.
They probably convinced her that what she experienced with the Holy Spirit was demonic. They teach that gifts of the Spirit died out after the last of the Apostles died. Therefore any experience after that must be demonic. The JWs belive that the Holy Spirit is NOT a person, but just Gods "active force" by which He carries out things. Also what else did they convince her about? That there is no heaven for her. No immortal soul, only a few go to heaven. What was it that attractted her to the teachings of the JW's.
